What to Expect

What to Bring:

Pillows and bedding (sheets and blankets or sleeping bag). Linens are available for an additional fee. There are some lodging spaces (premium spaces- cottages/cabins) where linens are included. Linen packets include a pillow, sheets, blanket, two bath towels, hand towel, and facecloth. This can be requested when registering. All Ferry Beach mattresses have waterproof and hypoallergenic covers.
Towels and toiletries. Dorm bathrooms are communal, so we recommend bringing shower shoes.
Beach attire and beach towels, sunscreen, bug spray, a flashlight, and perhaps a beach chair. For additional comfort, you may want to bring a fan for your room.
Dress for comfort- sneakers, sandals, athletic wear might be best depending on the retreat/event activities.
Please check the weather before you pack for Ferry Beach! Daytime temperatures in the summer in Maine generally range from 65-85 degrees, while in the winter it could be 30-50 degrees.
Bring a variety of outerwear with you, layering is key. Rain gear is also good to have with you.
Nights are often cool so bring a jacket or sweatshirt and long pants if you plan on being a part of an evening outdoor activity, plus pajamas appropriate for chilly nights (as well as hot summer nights).
Ferry Beach does not provide alcohol. If you wish to consume alcoholic beverages during your stay at Ferry Beach, you must bring your own and keep it secure.

What to Expect:

Check-in time is at 4:00pm, check-out is 10:00am. You are more than welcome to stay around and enjoy the beach but please make sure you've packed up and departed from your room by 10:00am, so we can adequately prepare for the next guest.
Upon arrival, please check-in at the registration office (Quillen Building during summer months (June-August) at 21 Ferry Park Ave or the Kelley Building in the off-season, (September-May) at 8 Boardwalk Drive).
Ferry Beach offers guest WiFi all across our campus
To ensure your safety please wear your name tags at all times while on the Ferry Beach campus, especially in the dinning hall. Your name tag is your ticket for meals.
Meals occur daily at these respective times:

-Breakfast- 7:30-8:30 am
-Lunch- 12:00-1:00 pm
-Dinner- 6:00-7:00 pm

During the summer season, the Ferry Beach Store is open daily, where you can find sell toiletries, merchandise, ice cream and more!

Ferry Beach is a pet-free environment, pets are not allowed. Marked service animals are welcome.
Ferry Beach Retreat & Conference Center is a smoke free campus, smoking (including vaping) is prohibited on our property.
Parking is provided on campus during your stay.
Ferry Beach has a gorgeous outdoor chapel in the middle of a pine grove. In the summer on Sundays we have an interfaith service at 9:30am. All are welcome to join in multi-faith worship services led by guest ministers.
