Ferry Beach Food Service
We are passionate about food at Ferry Beach. We believe that food is central to creating community. We want to balance nutritional food with the health of our planet. We use natural ingredients to offer a variety of choices at every meal.
To reduce our carbon footprint and to introduce people to a well-balanced diet, we are using legumes, grains and vegetables paired with poultry, fish, tofu and dairy as additional protein sources. Whenever possible, we will use locally sourced seasonal food.
We serve our hot meals cafeteria style with a serve yourself cold bar. We label the ingredients in each dish and ask that you be responsible for reading labels to identify any food allergens you may have. We are cognizant that many individuals have some food sensitivities and we hope that you will let us know when you register for a conference. If you did not, there is a place for you to share that information in the dining room during your first meal. We can support gluten-free and dairy free options.
Allergies to garlic, onions or other food specific concerns or special diets may be challenging at some meals so if you have these, please see the kitchen staff. If you are celiac, please know that our kitchen does not have a way to isolate certain cooking. In our kitchen we use sugar, real butter, flour, onions, garlic, peanuts/nuts and dairy.
Consider starting your day with a healthy breakfast. Whole grain cereals and hot oats are great meatless alternatives. We will serve a protein or two at each breakfast and they will include from the following: eggs, bacon, sausage, peanut butter, yogurt as well as whole grain muffins and pancakes.
We will offer at lunch and dinner a wide variety of items on the salad bar which will have many protein sources. At dinner there will be a vegetarian entrée and an omnivore entrée. Should you not want to eat the hot entrees served at dinner, the salad bar has a variety of alternatives.
Gluten free options are available at all meals. We need to know you are here in order to serve you. Please let the kitchen staff know of your sensitivities.
Coffee and tea are available all day, starting at 6:30am until 8pm. We serve soy, cow’s milk, half and half and almond milk. There are a variety of sugars and sugar alternatives.
Please indicate any dietary restrictions you may have during registration so that we may plan accordingly.
