Ferry Beach Retreat & Conference Center is a nonprofit membership organization. We are governed by a board of directors and our members meet annually. Click on the Buttons below to learn more about Governance at Ferry Beach.
Not for profit organizations are usually organized in two ways for governance. Member organizations (like Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts) have members who elect the board annually or tri-annually. Other not for profits have what are called “self-perpetuating boards” and the board elects new members itself at each annual meeting. Ferry Beach is a member organization and annually, the membership elects the board in a special meeting.
