What is Ferry Beach to you?
Our summer season will be affected by the coronavirus. Smaller gatherings of people will be allowed on campus and most of our summer conferences have been asked to reimagine some of their activities of connection and community on line. We believe it is critical that our communities have an opportunity to support one another together this summer. Because of these changes, we are challenged financially.
The off-season and summer workshops, conferences and retreats help pay our annual bills: staff salaries, utilities, insurance and maintaining our buildings.
Some events have been moved to the fall, some are suspended pending the challenges brought on by the virus. We are offering an opportunity through a Love Offering, for our guests to connect on line to their summer conference. We are also re-writing the ways people may be able to interact on campus and we will host smaller groups on campus. We anticipate a loss in revenue of more than $800,000 – the summer funds that get us through the year.
However, we are practicing courage in the face of this pandemic, in partnership with our board, our volunteers and our staff.
Do you support our mission of awakening hearts to explore, grow and renew the spirit of universal love? If you do and you are able, will you help us by sending an emergency relief gift right now??
Several of our volunteer summer coordinators are re-imagining ways to interact this summer and creating ways we can help each other manage this challenging time. Great ideas and supportive activities are in the works and will be up on our web pages shortly. Still other volunteers are sending us ideas, helping us revamp what we can offer to our local community and helping us get ready for hosting small groups this summer on campus.
A gift right now will help us support our volunteer efforts to navigate this challenging time with little revenue. Your gift means sustainability to Ferry Beach.
Your gift now also provides operating cash to get us through this next year with such a reduction in revenue.
Thank you so much for your consideration.
