Ready to revitalize your art practice? Bring your spirit of curiosity and play to this unusual class. You’ll discover new and exciting ways to express yourself in your pastel art. This will be an active, fast moving class of many exercises, layered with discussion between. You won’t find this techniques-driven class anywhere else. And because it’s about technique, it can be applied to any preferred subject matter. There will be a short materials list, but most materials are provided. Meet the Workshop Leader:
Polly Castor Polly Castor is a lifelong artist whose passion is abstraction, in the full range from Impressionism to non-objective art. She emphasizes abstract conceptualism to depict ideas, feelings, and actions. Polly’s art celebrates her deep authenticity, an explosion of ideas, vitality, technique, and composition. Interplay and juxtaposition of hue, tone, texture, pattern, and shape, all contribute unity to the fascinating whole in Polly’s paintings. Polly is eager to share her love of abstract painting, and In this exercise driven workshop, she’ll reinforce the elements essential to effective design. With equal parts lecture, production and discussion, students will work hard and have fun doing it, and emerge motivated and empowered. Polly lives in Bethel , CT with her husband.
