Get away to Ferry Beach for the July 4th Holiday as You Each Embrace Your Independence and Interconnection by Choosing Your Own Adventure at our multigenerational celebration and conference.
Choose your Dates: Sign up for the long holiday weekend (from the 1st to the 5th), the second half of the week (from the 3rd to the 8th), or double your fun by registering for the whole week (from the 1st to the 8th). All programming and lodging is 33% off for this new multigenerational conference!
Choose your Own Programming: From special holiday events like a concert by Onward, a cook-out, and fireworks on the beach on both July 4th and July 6th at 9:45 pm to favorite Ferry Beach traditions like Polar Bear Swims, a Talent/No-Talent show, and Sing-Along around the Campfire with S'mores in the Grove, the options for fun are endless. Diverse program leaders will offer a plethora of workshop options for you and your family members to choose from including Tai Chi, Nature Exploring (such as Meditation, Walks, and Photography), various options to dance, Restorative Yoga, STEM Design Challenges, Improv Theater, Songwriting, Drumming Circle, Arts & Crafts, and different types of Games. You and your family members will choose what is most be inspiring and fun for YOU!
*This conference is a new model that highlights multigenerational interconnection in which all family members choose workshops and activities based on their interests (instead of separating into age groups). Children 8 and under will likely need a trusted responsible family member to support them in their chosen workshops so they can fully enjoy it as much as the others.
Mindful Movement - connect with our bodies through mindfulness and movement to expand our capacity for joy. We will engage in ecstatic dance, nature meditation walks, yoga and creativity.

How to Jam
Are you curious what it means to join a music jam? Then this workshop is for you!
You’ll Learn:
• The rules and unwritten rules for playing music with others,
• When to take lead, provide the rhythm bed, do fills, or just improvise,
• Where to find charts, and how to use them once you find them,
• Plus, a little bit of music theory, and
• Lots of music!
Bring your instruments, your voice, or just come:
> percussion instruments will be available.
Music of John Prine
Rudy will be playing music and telling stories about folk music icon John Prine. We lost John to COVID19, but his immense musical legacy lives on. If you know his music, come prepared to remember and sing along. If you don't know his music, you are in for a real treat. Lyric and chord sheets will be provided.
Summer Camp Songs
From BINGO to I’ve Been Working on the Rail Road to John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt – music has been part of the summer camp experience for hundreds of years. Bring your kids and your inner kid, learn a song, teach a song and keep the traditions going! Kids of all ages welcomed!
Harmonica Tips and Tricks
Pull that harmonica out of the drawer and bring it to the beach. Rudy is available all week for impromptu harmonica jams, and/or show you tips and tricks including cross versus straight harp, bending, tongue blocking, and playing with others.
