Congress Overrides President Bush's veto of the Water Resources Development Act!
Abbreviated as WRDA, this legislation includes $26.9 million for shore damage mitigation of Saco Bay to be accomplished through the construction of a "spur" on the Camp Ellis jetty and three offshore breakwaters in the bay.

Our New Office Manager and Registrar
Hilary Green, formerly the UUA Mass Bay District Administrator, is the new Ferry Beach Office Manager and Registrar. Hilary, who is married to Ferry Beach Art Director Ted Green, brings a wealth of experience to the Ferry Beach year round staff. She also brings a commitment to Unitarian Universalism, a wonderful big smile, and a warm personality that will be a welcoming presence in the summer office.

Ferry Beach Welcomes Ed Mann as Our New Operations Director

He has all the skills we are looking for and then some, plus all the intangibles that are so hard to find. Ed's work experiences include Director of Information Technology for Shriners Hospitals for Children, Operations Manager of Innovative Business Systems, and RE Program Assistant for the UU Society of Greater Springfield. Ed worked with us as Grove Manager for the past two summers and his skills with logistics, people and computers are well proven. Ed began serving Ferry Beach in his new role on September 5, 2006.
