Change and surrender produce space waiting for us to create
fresh new ways to perceive life and express ourselves. You are
invited to join us during this process. Come spend a week of
relaxation, renewal and replenishment as we celebrate ourselves
and the beauty that surrounds us.
Please choose a
morning program to attend for the entire week. Afternoons will
be full of workshop choices, free time and fun. Yoga, flat
water kayaking and biking are also offered.
Flatwater
paddles: Joanne Steele invites you to join her for some
quiet-water paddles. Bring your own (or rented) kayak or canoe,
PFD, hat, water and sunscreen. Limited to six boats (except for
the Saco River paddle where solo
and tandem kayaks are available for rent). Joanne has paddled
around the Northeast including this area for a number of years.)
Evening activities bring the whole community together as we
play, dance and share.
Morning Programs
Women Loving
Women
For 21 years, Ferry Beach has provided a safe nurturing space
for lesbians, bisexual and questioning women. We build community
through small and large group discussions, sharing stories and
creating and playing together.
Led by Sarah
Remick and Judy B. Carpenter.
Shamanic
Journey
You are invited to deepen your spiritual practice and to access
teachers, spirit helpers and wisdom from the spiritual realm as
you learn to trust your own shamanic journey process. Shamanism
is a conscious and disciplined use of methods from around the
world in both ancient and modern times.
Led by Rev.
Margaret Beckman and Debra Damelio.
Soul Conversations With Women Over 50
The soul speaks to us in a variety of ways. Life events, people
we meet, our personal musings - all are ways we grow in the
Spirit of Life. Women over 50 have the advantage of
the wisdom of years of experience with which to nourish and
learn from each other. Come share a week of
conversations
with others who you will
discover are
ancient friends of your soul.
Led by: Julie
Labbe, Carol Girouard
Sacred Circle Dance
Through Sacred Circle Dance, meditation and group sharing, we
will nurture and celebrate our journeys to wholeness. These
simple dances awaken us to the peace within us, the love around
us and the joy in our connection to one another and all of life.
Heart work, not foot work, will be our intention so no dance
experience is necessary.
Led
by: Cathy Jay.
Using the Imagination to Create Yoga
We will tap into that early time before the cobra was a cobra in
yoga. The earliest yogis created their yoga based on their
observations of the inner life and the natural world around
them. We will be outdoors as weather allows to meditate and
listen to the wisdom of the natural world and create our own
yoga.
Bring: yoga mat,
comfortable garb, and a smiling heart

Writing on the Sand
Everyone can write, writing is like talking -- we each have a
unique voice and our own stories to tell. This workshop will
provide a safe, supportive atmosphere for exploring your own
personal way of writing.

Discovering the Super Shero in You
Deep within you lies a super shero. Come to know her through
playful exploration in art, storytelling , puppetry and mask
making . We'll help each other to see the strong , the
courageous, the creative and the adventurous parts we sometimes
keep hidden from ourselves and the rest of the world.
Led by Mickey
Reed.
Tell me a story...
"Once upon a time, a group of women met in a red tent and
talked, and shared, and laughed, and cried, and created..." This
summer, the red tent will take us back to the time of the
Arabian Nights, as we all channel Sheherazade and tell our many
stories in order to keep ourselves alive.
This workshop will be based on the book, "Storycatcher: Making
Sense of Our Lives Through the Power and Practice of Story" by
Christina Baldwin, and will invite all of us not only to share
our personal stories, but to listen to each other with open
hearts. "Storycatchers are people who value story and who look
for ways in their everyday lives to honor storytelling and
listening, story writing and reading." Note: We will not be
focusing on storytelling as performance, but will share our
stories through writing, art, journaling and, of course, our
voices, to make new discoveries and connections.

by: Sandra Hitchins.
Jane Hucks will
lead our daily ''Healing Sea'' meetings for those
who struggle with addictive behaviors.
