UU Heritage Week

August 16 - August 22

This summer at UU Heritage Week we will explore the breadth and depth of UU evangelism – from the feisty and fiery pioneer evangelists of Universalism in Texas to the critical place of Ferry Beach in making the faith live.  We’ll also examine the present continent wide UU endeavors to “get the word out” about Unitarian Universalism and the “folk in” as UUs.

Rev. Barbara Coeyman will lead our exploration of the western UU evangelical movement with an emphasis on the Universalist women evangelists.  Rev. Peter Scott will provide glimpses of his long awaited history of Ferry Beach.  With additional invited guests including those UUs who are charting our UU evangelistic course to the future, this should be a grand week.

Evenings will be filled with evangelican hymn singing led by hymnologist and historian Rev. David Johnson, the Ferry Beach talent show and more.  We share this week with the “Circle of Music” and "Body, Mind & Spirit” conferences.  The interaction among the conferences makes this one of the best weeks of the summer!
