Our “group” project is designed to be an easy one - you do need to bring and be familiar with your sewing machine. Or you can spend the week on your own projects from home and concentrate on finishing them in a supportive environment. Informal instruction is individual and is related to the “group” project or to your specific needs. (We even have a special project for absolute beginners -- but you won’t stay in that category for long!) We’ll have a short, painless design exercise to get your color and design sense flowing each morning. On Sunday, we’ll travel to a nearby fabric store to stock up on supplies and help each other with fabric choices. We try each year to have a surprise guest who presents a lecture and trunk show, and we always share finished projects from home at “Show and Tell.” You’ll have your own space, a design wall, and most importantly, the companionship of dedicated quiltmakers who won’t hesitate to support both you and your work. Come join us for a week of artistic exploration and adventure during the last week of the summer. Enjoy the beach in the afternoons, and sew the rest of the time. Teens are welcome to accompany Mom or Grandmom for a shared learning experience. Supply list and photo of an optional project will be mailed July 10. Coordinator: Barbara Stroup Staff: Wendy Page and Jean Coletta Hodges for the Teens
