Welcome to Body, Mind & Spirit! This conference offers four separate tracks: World Dance, Yoga, Spontaneous Awakening, and PSI (Physical, Spiritual, and Intellectual integration) Symposium. Each provides a forum to experience different approaches to holistic health, movement, metaphysics and parapsychology. Explore one in-depth each morning and spend afternoons attending optional Body, Mind & Spirit workshops, or sharing music with the Music Week folks, enjoying a Ferry Beach Ecology field trip or relaxing in your own way. Evenings offer several exciting options including a World Dance party, a Coffee House by the Music Week people, Hymn Singing with the UU Heritage people, and of course, making music and new friends each evening or just relaxing and laughing over games and puzzles. You’ll love this “taking care of me” vacation.

World Dance – Folk, Belly and Paneurhythmy
Join in the ancient and ongoing magic of dancing to fascinating rhythms and beautiful music from many cultures. Paneurhythmy (from Bulgaria) on the beach before breakfast starts the day with a beautiful and joyful dance prayer to align us with all of creation.  Mornings and evenings we learn village dances, many from Rom (Gypsy) and the Balkan/near East areas. Most are done holding hands in a circle, a celebration of life! Belly dancing offered in the afternoons is earthy and playful, sparkling with the energy of joy and surprise, and offers the opportunity for connecting with one’s sensuality.

Yoga
To practice yoga is to feel fully alive. This week will be filled both physically and spiritually with discovery.
For instance, a beginner yogi might learn how to touch his or her toes while a more experienced yogi might learn to go into headstand for the first time. Everyone will deepen their meditation practice and learn energizing breath exercises.  Our yoga is individually tailored to meet each person’s needs.

Spontaneous Awakening
"How People Just Like You Are Becoming Part of the Collective Awakening Revolution"
This workshop begins with the mesmerizing digital slide show of one Westerner's around-the-world journey to discover cross-cultural ultimate truth. Each workshop session takes you deeper and deeper into your own journey as you seek your inner wisdom to raise questions and discover your own answers.  What is the difference between what you believe and what you know?  Between religion and spirituality?  What does it mean to be inner-directed instead of outer-directed?  How can you make a difference on this planet?  This workshop is not just about self-help books for individuals, it's about the next thing: all of us connecting with the universe!  A riveting workshop you won't want to miss, it will literally wake you up!

Group Leader
Jegom James is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and former Naval Aviator who carried nuclear weapons during the Post-Vietnam Cold War.  An award-winning professional photographer since 1969 and a world traveler since 1972,  Jegom uses crisp photojournalism and a humorous but authentic storytelling style to guide you through his own spontaneous awakening from being a Bible Teaching Naval Officer to becoming a Cosmic Inner Peace Warrior.

PSI SYMPOSIUM – The power of Consciousness

Morning Workshop To facilitate the expansion of consciousness, Sibylle Mayer Baughan will lead conferees in “Guided Imagery and Music”.  This workshop will present conferees with the opportunity to break through the shell of ordinary consciousness, opening forgotten doors to moments of connectedness to the mysteries of all existence, of deep memories, dreams/visions, insights, creativity, healing and the transpersonal.  It will be energizing, balancing, and healing.  This workshop is open only to those who register for the PSI Symposium Program.

Afternoon Workshop The focus will be the continuation of consciousness after death.  Vicki Baird, a psychic medium, and conferees will consider the evidence for the eternal energy of our soul, explore the possibility of contact with the other side, learn how it can help to heal those still in the physical, and understand the responsibility of the communicator.  This will be done through discussion, through exercises to help conferees become more open to communication, and through demonstrations of spirit communication by Vicki.  While this workshop is an option for all “Body, Mind, Spirit” conferees, for the sake of continuity, after the second session no one new may join.
