Middle School Camp for grades 7-9 as of September, 2010

Ferry Beach is calling all middle schoolers for a week of fun, sun, connection, and Unitarian Universalist community! At Ferry Beach Different Drummers enjoy being right on the Maine Seacoast as they live, play, and hang out with UU friends. Some favorite DD activities include going to the beach, polar bear swims, playing games like ultimate Frisbee, getting ice cream, a dress-up dance, and the annual no-talent/talent show.

Different Drummers campers select one morning track based on their own interests to focus on for the week. Other daily activities include afternoon workshops to choose from, some time for free choice activities, and meeting in small groups to maximize connections with each other. Different Drummers campers gather together as a community each evening for fun group activities such as movie night, outdoor games, and the aforementioned dance. Then the camp winds down each night with an uplifting youth led worship service. Different Drummers is led by an amazing team of volunteers that includes professional religious educators, middle school teachers, and artists. The DD staff team works hard to create an environment that is both safe and fun for all of our campers!

When registering, please be sure to indicate your top two preferences for morning track. (To guarantee your first choice, register early and don’t forget to include your track selection!)
