Bob Brick, Interim Executive Director, is from Northampton, Massachusetts. He is married to Janet Sheppard, an attorney and has three adult children, one a math teacher, one an oncology nurse, and one in law school.
Bob Brick has thirty-five years of experience as the lead administrator in social services, health care and education organizations. He is the co-founder of the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School located in South Hadley, Massachusetts, where he served as the Executive Director for 15 years. He is in the process of co-founding another school based on the philosophy of Brazilian educator Paulo Freire, to be located in inner city Holyoke, Massachusetts.
In addition to his experience successfully operating PVPA Charter Public School he has also been the leader of 200 units of public housing in inner city Springfield, and the leader of a broad continuum of mental health and social service programs throughout Western Massachusetts. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Hampshire Regional YMCA in Northampton, MA.
