2009 Capital Campaign
2nd Century Fund Dear Ferry Beachers, For over 100 years Ferry Beach has been a place of spiritual discovery, healing and joy. Our community is stronger today than it has ever been. Thousands of children and adults call our campus home. Thousands of lives, over many generations, have been transformed by Ferry Beach. We invite you to join us as we honor our past and build a future where Ferry Beach remains a vital part of our lives and the lives of countless Unitarian Universalists and other spiritual explorers. We envision sustained health and renewed beauty on our campus.
Join us in leaving a legacy we can be proud of by:
- Creating ongoing dune preservation and campus sustainability – now much closer to being within our reach due to the passage of Water Resources Development Act authorizing $26.9 million for Camp Ellis/ Ferry Beach preservation!
- Building a new, much larger dining room seating over 200, and an all-new kitchen
- Renovating and creating more attractive and comfortable sleeping rooms in Rowland Hall
- Developing our chapel and memorial gardens for contemplative practices
- Designing additional, new, larger meeting spaces in the Quillen
- Creating a much-needed new maintenance facility
Join us in a vision where sound financial planning and accountability are standards and a new spirit of abundant giving sustains Ferry Beach.
We are proud and excited to update you on the progress of The Ferry Beach 2nd Century Fund. Together with the Ferry Beach annual stewardship pledge campaign, the 2nd Century Fund will ensure that generations to come find a loving community and a welcoming home at Ferry Beach.
Join us today – for the love of Ferry Beach. We change people’s lives!
In faith, Reverend Wendy von Zirpolo, Board President Craig Lentz, Executive Director Brad Cohen and Reverend Pat Hoertdoerfer, Capital Campaign Co-chairpersons
